Geremy Miller
A First Violinist with the Florida Philharmonic Orchestra, Geremy has played on studio recordings with
Jackie Gleason, John Denver, Collective Soul, Extreme, Julio Iglesias, and Gloria Estefan to name a few. Geremy did all of the string arrangements on the Project Life recording, composing them to be performed by
himself and cellist Steven Sigurdson. The full string sound on the Project Life CD was achieved with Producer Tom Harney through multi track recording, by combining the sounds of Geremy and Steve several times on each track.
Steven Sigurdson
Steven Sigurdson has been the Associate Principal Cellist of the Florida Philharmonic and the Florida Grand Opera since 1990. He
graduated from the Juilliard School, having studied with the late Leonard Rose and the Late Channing Robbins, and conducting with Ronald Braunstein. Will Crutchfield has written in the New York Times, " Sigurdson should be
singled out for his evocative, firm, poised playing". Sun Sentinel critic Tim Smith has written, Sigurdson is a dynamic player. He carves out phrases passionately. His technique is more than respectable, his tone is juicy.
His sense of rhythmic vitality is telling and drew out rich poetry with a dramatic touch. He recently joined the faculty of Miami's New World School of the Arts as Professor of Cello. Mr. Sigurdson is also founder and Music
Director of the Haydn Society of Florida, a recent addition to the South Florida's chamber music community. He appears often in recital with his wife, soprano Wendy Reynolds, who has sung to critical acclaim with the Palm Beach
Opera. As a studio recording artist, he has performed on many recordings including those by Collective Soul and Extreme, including the featured cello solo on Gloria Estefan's hit single, "Always Tomorrow
".
